Hi folks,

Just out of curiousity how many of you use the Network Quaratine function in Windows 2003 and improved on in ISA to secure your networks?

Do any of you use 802.1x on your wired lan to encrypt data transmitted?

Thanks,

David

David

Have used network quarantine on ISA Server 2004?  Not the easiest implementation I have ever had to do but appears to work ok.

Hi Guys,

You know since your post David, i attempted to setup 802.1x on my LAN here with SBS2003 and a linksys WAP54G. it did not go to well. methinks that perhaps the linksys WAP was not able to porperly communicate with the SBS2003 RADIUS server, or even establish the protocols.

However i think that if this works it would be a great way and to secure WLAN networks. No need for WEP Keys or reconfiguration etc...

I'm going to try it again, be a little more aggressive with this AP or even get a different one. I'll come back to ye-all

Hi Stacky,

I setup a test lab with Windows 2000 Server Adv, Certificate Server, and IAS to test securing an old SMC Barricuda 2804 router.

Worked well. Ping me offlist if you want any help, or if you want to put a document together for the group, if anyone is interested?

David
