I just had to recover a public folder that a user had deleted, while doing a bit of research I came across this handy tip.

Using OWA, log in as the user that deleted the folder, select public folders.
Navigate to the where the folder was.

Add "/?cmd=ShowDeleted" to the address and now you are in the deleted retention for that folder.

David,

Had a client who figured out that someone (they didn't know who) had deleted all the contacts in their main Public contacts folder. Restored the deleted contacts as per your instructions (via OWA using the Administrators account over RWW). Since they didn't know how many contacts were originally in the folder, nor when or who had deleted them, I had to figure how many were missing. Backup no great help as it's just standard SBS NTBackup. I did find this MS article that helped show all the deleted items available via the System Manager - Exchange - Servers - Server Name - First Storge Group - Public Folder Store - Public Folder. Click View, Select Add/Remove Columns, select deleted items(KB) from the available columns and click Add, click OK. Handy.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/188637/

One thing, it's doesn't get saved, so the next time you return the column is missing.

Check out some of the other columns you can show for the other Exchange relested folders.

Alex
