As such, a new sales position has become available. The works with a number of Microsoft Solution and Services partners to drive successful growth for both the partner and Microsoft. Success in this role requires a special individual capable of • Acting as a lead sales person on large opportunities directly with our customers in Ireland • Supporting, and developing sales skills around the Microsoft products in key partners • Providing strategic leadership in business development and sales for Microsoft partners Responsibilities • Drives revenue through direct field engagement with customers around large software deals. • Field engages with Partner Sales teams. Provides sales leadership, mentorship, and collaboration to managed partners sales teams, developing partners ability to build their Microsoft related business. • Creates compelling business propositions and builds joint business plans with partners, based on business models and product focus of Solutions and Services partners. • Collaborates with other Microsoft teams to ensure readiness and enablement of Solutions and Services partners. • Analyzes which strategies should be highest joint priorities with Solutions and Services partners; engages in joint marketing; and monitors partner capacity to support Mid Market customer projects. • Fosters ongoing trust based relationships with Solutions and Services partners. As such, a new position has become available – Partner Technology Specialist. The PTS acts as technical resource to Microsoft partners. The PTS role is intended to complement the sales process via the effective transfer of technical knowledge vis-à-vis product and solutions, as well as delivery of pre-sales support to partners. The focus is on educating and coaching the partner in engagement, with the goal of achieving partner self-sufficiency, and the continuous cycling of new partners into and through the one-on-one coaching process. The PTS role is focused primarily on the Create Demand and Sell phases of the Partner Business Lifecycle. The PTS is a critical component in the partner account management ecosystem and works closely with the Partner Account Manager and Readiness teams to assist partners in the sales cycle. Responsibilities • Develop capacity of partners to sell technically. By assessing the partner’s current abilities and creating and driving a technical sales readiness plan for each partner including certifications, deployment and adoption of latest MS products and access/use fo training for technical audience. • Co selling with partners. Deliver 1-1 sales coaching with partner pre-sales and sales team to close large opportunities, drive competitive engagements and ensure that skills are transferred to partner teams. • Present Microsoft solutions to customers and partners at joint marketing events both 1-few and 1-many. • Keep abreast of the latest industry and Microsoft developments and act as a knowledge expert in one or a number of MS solutions.
